Can you brush your teeth while fasting in Ramadan?
Scholars say that brushing your teeth does not break your fast.
However, you should avoid doing it because there’s a high risk you might swallow some part of the toothpaste which will immediately break your fast.
And even if you’re confident you won’t swallow it, scholars say your fast becomes Makrooh (downgraded) because of the taste of toothpaste and the risk in using it while fasting.
So, the better way is to brush your teeth before fasting after you eat Sehri.
But you can clean your teeth with a Miswak while fasting. In fact, you should do it while making wuzu before every namaz during Ramadan as it increases the reward of your prayers.
