Does Period Bleeding Break Ramadan Fast?

Every Muslim woman knows that she’s not required to pray or fast during menstrual periods.

Should You Continue Fasting If Your Menstrual Period Starts?

Islamic scholars say that if your monthly period bleeding starts while you’re fasting, your fast breaks immediately.

There’s no sin in it because it’s a naturally occurring thing.

So, no need to worry.

You can spend the rest of the day eating and drinking like normal days.

However, once your menstrual cycle is complete and you stop bleeding, keep the remaining Ramadan fasts like other people.

Plus, make up for the lost fasts (including the one in which your bleeding started) after Eid.
