Can you use nasal drops or spray while fasting?

Most mainstream scholars agree that using a nasal spray or drops breaks your fast immediately.

Why? Because the droplets from the spray go straight into your nose from where they make their way into your throat.

This is why you should avoid using nasal drops or sprays while fasting.

If someone uses them while fasting their fast becomes invalid and they must keep a Qaza fast after Ramadan to make up for it.

However, there’s no 60-fast penalty for this act.
