Can You Inject Medicine Or Use a Drip While Fasting?

Scholars say that using an injection does not break your fast. Similarly, using a drip also has no impact on your fast.

This is the case because the fluid from an injection or a drip goes directly into your veins or body without passing through your throat or stomach.

However, some people use energy injections or drips to ease their fast during Ramadan.

Although this does not break the fast, it does make it Makrooh (downgraded).

So, only use an injection or a drip while fasting if there’s a genuine medical need. Otherwise, try avoiding it.
