My name is Abdullah Makki, and I was born in a Muslim family where regular prayer, fasting during Ramadan, and respecting our elders were the foundations of our beliefs.
As I grew up, I saw my parents make special prayers on Shab e Qadr, Arafat Day, the odd (taaq) nights of Ramazan, and several other occasions throughout the Islamic year.
However, I was always unsure why these nights and days were more important than other regular days. Plus, I didn’t know how to make the most of these nights, where I should spend my time, what I should read, what dua I should make, or what namaz I should offer.
All of these questions were gradually answered as I started attending the lectures of different scholars like Mufti Taqi Usmani, Shaykh Yunus Patel, and other renowned and respectable Ulama.
I was fortunate to see what they did on these nights, how they made dua, and the sincerity with which they sought Allah’s pleasure.
Today, I see young Muslims ask many of the same questions about these nights that I asked as a teenager.
So, I created this website to share the knowledge I gained from eminent scholars and help others understand the significance of the blessed nights in the Islamic calendar.
May Allah SWT accept this and make it a source of guidance for all.
