English Translation

Here’s the meaning of Ayat ul Kursi in English.

Allah! There is no god worthy of worship except Him, the Ever-Living, All-Sustaining. Neither drowsiness nor sleep overtakes Him. To Him belongs whatever is in the heavens and whatever is on the earth. Who could possibly intercede with Him without His permission? He fully knows what is ahead of them and what is behind them, but no one can grasp any of His knowledge—except what He wills to reveal. His Seat encompasses the heavens and the earth, and the preservation of both does not tire Him. For He is the Most High, the Greatest.

Urdu & Hindi Tarjuma

Ayat ul Kursi ka Urdu aur Hindi tarjuma ye hai

Allah Woh Hai Jiske Siwa Koi Maabood Nahi. Woh Sada Zinda Hai Jo Puri Kainat Sambhalay Huay Hai, Jisko Na Kabhi Oongh Lagti Hai Na Neend. Aasmano Main Jo Kuch Hai Woh Bhi Aur Zameen Main Jo Kuch Hai Woh Bhi Sab Usi Ka Hai. Kon Hai Jo Uske Huzoor Uski Ijazat Ke Baghair Kisi Ki Sifarish Kar Sakay? Woh Saray Bando Kay Tamam Agay Peechay Kay Halaat Ko Khoob Janta Hai. Aur Woh Log Uske Ilm Ki Koi Baat Apne Ilm Ke Dairay Main Nahi La Saktay, Siwae Us Baat Ke Jise Woh Khud Chahay. Uski Kursi Ne Saray Asmano Aur Zameen Ko Ghera Hua Hai. Aur In Dono Ki Nigehbani Se Usay Zara Bhi Bojh Nahi Hota, Aur Woh Bara Aali Muqam, Sahib e Azmat Hai.

For everything, there is a hump (pinnacle) and the hump (pinnacle) of the Qur’an is Surat Al-Baqarah, in it there is an Ayah which is the master of the Ayat in the Qur’an; [it is] Ayat Al-Kursi.” (Source)

Safety From Shaytan (the Devil)

Ayat ul Kursi also protects us from the evils of Shaytan. In a very interesting Hadith narrated by Abu Huraira, Rasoolullah ﷺ confirmed this.

Allah’s Messenger (ﷺ) put me in charge of the Zakat of Ramadan (i.e. Zakat-ul-Fitr). Someone came to me and started scooping some of the foodstuff of (Zakat) with both hands. I caught him and told him that I would take him to Allah’s Messenger (ﷺ).” Then Abu Huraira told the whole narration and added “He (i.e. the thief) said, ‘Whenever you go to your bed, recite the Verse of “Al-Kursi” (2.255) for then a guardian from Allah will be guarding you, and Satan will not approach you till dawn.’ ” On that the Prophet (ﷺ) said, “He told you the truth, though he is a liar, and he (the thief) himself was the Satan.” (Source)
