Health and happiness or sickness and fever come from Allah SWT to test His servants and see if they turn to Him.

The Dua to read in fever and cold is taught by Rasoolullah in a Hadith mentioned in At-Tirmidhi by Ibn-Abbas رضي الله عنه.
The purpose of this Dua is to remember Allah SWT for help when we’re down with a fever and not able to live a normal life.

Here’s the Arabic text of the Dua for Fever.
بِسْمِ اللَّهِ الْكَبِيرِ أَعُوذُ بِاللَّهِ الْعَظِيمِ مِنْ شَرِّ كُلِّ عِرْقٍ نَعَّارٍ وَمِنْ شَرِّ حَرِّ النَّارِ
Transliteration
Bismillahil Kabir; A’oodhu Billahil-Azeemi Min Sharri Kulli Irqin Na’aarin, Wa Min Sharri Harrin Naar
English Translation
Here’s the English translation of the Dua we should read in sickness.
In the name of Allah the Great, I seek refuge with Allah the Magnificent from the evil of every gushing vein, and from the evil of the heat of the Fire.

How To Read Bukhar Utarne Ki Dua
The Dua we’ve just learned should be read by the patient himself.
Its purpose is to seek the help of Allah SWT and ask for His mercy in fever and sickness. A patient should read this Dua regularly, along with the right usage of medicine given by a competent Doctor.
Apart from this Dua, also read Ayat e Shifa and request Allah SWT to grant complete recovery to your patient.
