Durood e Ibrahimi Text In Arabic With Translation
Here’s the Arabic text of Durood e Ibrahimi. It has two parts. In the first section, we pray Allah SWT to send blessings on Prophet Muhammad ﷺ as He did on Prophet Abraham. In the second part, we pray to Allah SWT to give barakah to Prophet Muhammad ﷺ and his family as He did to Prophet Abraham and his family.

اللَّهُمَّ صَلِّ عَلَى مُحَمَّدٍ وَعَلَى اٰلِ مُحَمَّدٍ كَمَا صَلَّيْتَ عَلَى اِبْرَاهِيمَ وَعَلَى اٰلِ اِبْرَاهِيمَ، اِنَّكَ حَمِيدٌ مَجِيدٌ —- اللَّهُمَّ بَارِكَ عَلَى مُحَمَّدٍ وَعَلَى اٰلِ مُحَمَّدٍ كَمَا بَارَكْتَ عَلَى اِبْرَاهِيمَ وَعَلَى اٰلِ اِبْرَاهِيمَ، اِنَّكَ حَمِيدٌ مَجِيدٌ
Transliteration

Here’s the English translation of Darood e Ibrahimi
O Allah! Send Your Mercy on Muhammad and on the family of Muhammad, as You sent Your Mercy on Abraham and on the family of Abraham, for You are the Most Praise-worthy, the Most Glorious.
O Allah! Send Your Blessings on Muhammad and the family of Muhammad, as You sent your Blessings on Abraham and on the family of Abraham, for You are the Most Praise-worthy, the Most Glorious.

Sab se afzal Darood Sharif yani Durood e Ibrahimi ka Urdu/Hindi tarjuma o mafhoom ye hai
Aay Allah Rehmatay Nazil Farma Muhammad ﷺ par aur Muhammad ﷺ ke ghar walo par, Jis tarha Tu ne Rehmatay nazil farmaee Ibraheem عَلَیهِالسَّلام par aur Ibrahim عَلَیهِالسَّلام ke ghar walo par, bay shak Tu sab se ziada tareef ke laiq aur azmat wala hai.

What Is Durood e Ibrahim? Why Is It The Best Darood Sharif?
Durood Ibrahim is the most recommended Durood taught by Rasoolullah ﷺ. Durood or Salawat are prayers of blessings that we make to Almighty Allah to reward Prophet Muhammad ﷺ.
There’s immense barakah and reward for reciting Durood e Ibrahimi regularly. Since it is the best Darood, Muslims read it in every Namaz as well.
In Durood e Ibrahimi, we pray to Allah SWT to bless Prophet Muhammad ﷺ and his family the same way He blessed Prophet Abraham and his family.
Prophet Abraham and Prophet Muhammad have a close relationship.
Not only were they both Prophets but Prophet Muhammad is a descendant of Abraham from the lineage of Prophet Ismail (Abraham’s son).
Prophet Abraham (Ibrahim) was known as Khalilullah, Allah’s friend. Allah SWT tested him in numerous ways, and he was always up to the task.
As a result, Allah SWT blessed Prophet Ibrahim and his family immensely, increased their numbers, and gave them land and affluence.
Durood e Ibrahimi Hadith
Rasoolullah ﷺ himself taught Durood e Ibrahimi to Sahaba Ikram, according to the following hadith in Bukhari
قَالَ لَقِيَنِي كَعْبُ بْنُ عُجْرَةَ فَقَالَ أَلاَ أُهْدِي لَكَ هَدِيَّةً سَمِعْتُهَا مِنَ النَّبِيِّ، صلى الله عليه وسلم فَقُلْتُ بَلَى، فَأَهْدِهَا لِي. فَقَالَ سَأَلْنَا رَسُولَ اللَّهِ صلى الله عليه وسلم فَقُلْنَا يَا رَسُولَ اللَّهِ كَيْفَ الصَّلاَةُ عَلَيْكُمْ أَهْلَ الْبَيْتِ فَإِنَّ اللَّهَ قَدْ عَلَّمَنَا كَيْفَ نُسَلِّمُ. قَالَ “ قُولُوا اللَّهُمَّ صَلِّ عَلَى مُحَمَّدٍ، وَعَلَى آلِ مُحَمَّدٍ، كَمَا صَلَّيْتَ عَلَى إِبْرَاهِيمَ وَعَلَى آلِ إِبْرَاهِيمَ، إِنَّكَ حَمِيدٌ مَجِيدٌ، اللَّهُمَّ بَارِكْ عَلَى مُحَمَّدٍ، وَعَلَى آلِ مُحَمَّدٍ، كَمَا بَارَكْتَ عَلَى إِبْرَاهِيمَ، وَعَلَى آلِ إِبْرَاهِيمَ، إِنَّكَ حَمِيدٌ مَجِيدٌ ”
Narrated `Abdur-Rahman bin Abi Laila:
Ka`b bin Ujrah met me and said, “Shall I not give you a present I got from the Prophet?” `Abdur- Rahman said, “Yes, give it to me.”
I said, “We asked Allah’s Messenger (ﷺ) saying, ‘O Allah’s Messenger (ﷺ)! How should one (ask Allah to) send blessings on you, the members of the family, for Allah has taught us how to salute you (in the prayer)?’
He said, ‘Say:
O Allah! Send Your Mercy on Muhammad and on the family of Muhammad, as You sent Your Mercy on Abraham and on the family of Abraham, for You are the Most Praise-worthy, the Most Glorious.
O Allah! Send Your Blessings on Muhammad and the family of Muhammad, as You sent your Blessings on Abraham and on the family of Abraham, for You are the Most Praise-worthy, the Most Glorious.’ “ (Source)
Benefits & Fazilat In Urdu
Darood e Ibrahimi sab se afzal Durood Sharif hai jisko parhnay ki takeed khud Allah Kay Habib Rasoolullah ﷺ ne farmaee hai.
Durood to aur bhi hain. Lekin ye Durood tamam Daroodo ka sardar hai aur isko parhnay ka bay panah sawab hai.
Yehi waja hai ke Namaz main bhi Darood e Ibrahimi parhnay ka hukm hai.
Is Durood Sharif ki fazilat aur bhi bohat hain. Maslan, Dua se pehle aur akhir main ye Durood parhnay se Dua qubool hoti hai. Isi tarha Salatul Hajat ki dua parhnay se pehle Darood parhna chahye.
Lekin kyu kay ye thora bara hai is liye log isko yaad karnay main susti kartay hain.
Aisa nahi karna chahye.
Darood e Ibrahimi bohat asan hai, sabko yaad hona chahye.
Isko aik martaba parhnay se Allah SWT 10 darjay buland farmtay hain aur 10 martaba nazre rehmat farmatay hain.
Is liye isko apna subho shaam ka mamool banana chahye aur chaltay phirtay kam az kam 100 martaba isko parh lena chahye.
Best Time To Recite Durood Ibrahimi
A Muslim should read Durood Sharif all the time. But some days, occasions, and moments demand that we recite Durood more than usual.
- Reading Durood Sharif frequently on Jummah Day.
- Reciting Durood before after every Dua
- Reciting Durood e Ibrahimi in Tahajjud.
- Reading Durood Sharif before reading the Dua of Azan.
- On special days like Arafah, Shab e Qadr, or Shab e Barat.
Other than these times, Durood should always be on your lips as it is a source of immense blessings and rewards.
