Jummah is the best day of the week and a day of spirituality and additional reward for Muslims. Allah SWT has granted a special status to this day and commanded us to gather in Jumuah prayers.
This is why all Muslims should prepare well for Jummah and treat it as a special day because Prophet Muhammad ﷺ used to do the same.
In a hadith, Rasoolullah ﷺ is reported saying
“Verily, Allah has made this day of Friday a celebration for the Muslims. Whoever comes to Friday prayer, let him bathe himself, apply perfume if he has it, and use the toothstick.”

“Jo shakhs bhi Jumma ke din ghusl karay, aur apne badan ko mumkin had tak paak karay, phir baalo main tail lagae ya Itar istemal karay, phir masjid ki taraf Jumma ada karnay chal paray, aur safo main bethay logo ko phalang kar na jae, phir hasb e tofeeq ibadat karay, aur Imam ke Khutbay ke doran khamosh rahay, to pichle Jumma se is Jumma tak ke uske tamam gunah Allah muaaf farma deta hai” (Bukhari)
Is liye Jumma ki fazilat hasil karnay ke liye iska khoob ehtimam karna chahye aur aam dino se ziada is din ki fikr karni chahye.

#3: Nakhun Katna
Nahun Katna safaee ke liye zaruri hai. Isi liye har Jumay se pehle barhay huay nakhun kat lene chahye. Ye Jumay ki khaas sunnat nahi balkay jab bhi nakhun barhay huay ho kaat lene chahye. Lekin Jumma se pehle chukay Insan Ghusl karta hai aur safaee ka ehtimam karta hai is liye Nakhun bhi kat lene chahye.

Jo bhi achay aur saaf kapray apke paas ho unko Jumay ke din pehenna sunnat hai. Iske liye bohat qeemti libaas zaruri nahi. Bas paak saaf hona chahye. Rasooullah ﷺ ko safaid libaas pasand tha is liye behtar hai agar safaid rang ke kapray pehnay.
#5: Khushbu Ya Itar Lagana
Koi acha itar ya khushbu Jumma ko janay se pehle zarur lagani chahye kyuke kushbu ka istemal tamam nabiyo ki sunnat hai. Bas is baat ka khayal rakhay ke khushbu itni taiz na ho ke us se doosro ko azyat ho.

Baalo ko dho kar, tail laga kar, aur kangki karke jumma ko jana chahye takay ehtimam nazar aae.
#7: Masjid Jaldi Jana
Jumma ki namaz ke liye masjid jaldi jana chahye kyu ke iska bohat ziada ajar hai. Ek hadees main hai ke jaldi janay wala aisa hai jesay usne Allah ke rastay main ek Oont qurban kia ho.

Lekin Imam se qareeb bethnay ke liye safo main bethay huay logo ko phalang kar jana sahi nahi. Hadees main aisa karne se roka gya hai kyu ke is se logo ko takleef hoti hai.
#11: Fuzool Baat Ya Kaam Se Bachna
Masid main jitni dair rahain, har qism ki fuzool baat ya kaam se parhaiz karain. Na kisi se koi dunyawi baat karain, na mobile dekhay, na apne kapro ya baalo se khelay. Balkay Durood sharif parhtay rahain ya dua main mashghool rahain.
12: Khutba Ghor Se Sunna
Jan Imam khutba denay lagay to ghor se Khutba sunay. Is doran kisi se baat karna ya ishara karna bhi jaiz nahi. Jab imam khutbo ke doran bethay to dil hi dil main kuch dua kar lain kyu ke ye qubuliyat ka waqt hai. Lekin is doran bhi zaban se kuch na kahain.
13: Surah Kahf Ki Tilawat Karna
Jumma ke din Surah Kahf ki tilawat ki bohat fazilat hai. Ek hadith ke mutabiq jo shakhs Shab e Juma se le kar Jumma ke din ke ikhtitam tak kisi bhi waqt Surah Kahf ki tilawat kar lay to uske liye zameen o asman tak noor hi noor hoga. Aur Allah taala usko Dajjal ke fitnay se mehfooz rkahay ga.

Baaz riwayat main ata hai ke jo shakhs Jumma ke din Asar ki namaz ke baad 80 martaba ye durood parhay uski bohat ziada fazilat hai.
Iske alawa Durood Ibrahimi ka wird kia ja sakta hai.
15: Surah Dukhaan Ki Tilawat Karna
Baaz ahadith main Jumma ke din Surah Dukhan (25 Para, Surah 44) ki tilawat ki bhi bohat fazilat aee hai. Is liye is ajar ko bhi hasil karna chahye.
16: Asar Maghrib Ke Darmiyan Dua
Jummay ke din Asar se maghrib ke darmiyan ka waqt Dua ki qubuliyat ke liye bohat hi khaas hai. Is liye koshish karni chahye ke Asar se Maghrib pura waqt Tilawat e Quran, Durood Sharif, aur phir Dua main guzray. Lekin agar pura waqt na bhi ho sakay to kam az kam Maghrib se 10-15 min pehle ehtimam se Dua karni chahye kyu ke ye bohat qubuliyat ka waqt hai.
Hadith Of Jummah, The Most Blessed Day Of The Week
Jummah is the most blessed day of the week for Muslims. Rasoolullah ﷺ has described numerous virtues of Jumuah and its significance for Muslims.
According to a hadith.
“Whoever takes a bath on Friday, purifies himself as much as he can, then uses his (hair) oil or perfumes himself with the scent of his house, then proceeds (for the Jumua prayer) and does not separate two persons sitting together (in the mosque), then prays as much as (Allah has) written for him and then remains silent while the Imam is delivering the Khutba, his sins in-between the present and the last Friday would be forgiven.” (Bukhari)
So, we should prepare well for Jummah prayers and treat it as a special day.
Friday Sunnahs List In Islam
Here are the Sunnahs of Jummah that a Muslim should follow on this blessed day.
Friday Sunnah #1: Taking A Bath
Friday congregation is a large gathering of Muslims where people get sweaty but still have to sit and stand close together. This is why Prophet Muhammad ﷺ commanded every Muslim to take a bath before attending Jummah prayers, so that you’re not only clean for this occasion but also do not become a source of discomfort for others.
#2: Using Miswak
Rasoolullah ﷺ emphasized using Miswak before every prayer, including Jummah. So, when making Wudu or Ghusl for Jummah, don’t forget to clean your teeth with Miswak. It not only cleans your mouth but also removes bad breath, which could affect other worshippers in the Jummah congregation.
#3: Cutting Nails
Cutting your nails every week on Thursday Night or before Jummah is also recommended, but it’s not a specific Sunnah for Jummah. The Prophet used to teach cleanliness to Sahaba and instructed them not to have long nails as it is unhygienic. So, if your nails are long, cut them before going to Jummah prayers.
#4: Wearing Clean Clothes
Wear clean clothes for Friday prayers so that you not only look good but are also well-prepared for this gathering. You don’t need expensive clothes. Just pick any neat and clean clothes that you’d wear to any respectable place. Rasoolullah ﷺ preferred white color for his clothing. So if you have a white dress, that’s even better.
#5: Using A Perfume Or Itar
Using Itar or perfume is another Sunnah of the Holy Prophet (peace be upon him). In fact, it is a Sunnah of all the Prophets. So, when you’re ready to leave for Jummah, use a light perfume or Itar. But avoid strong perfumes that might make other worshippers uncomfortable.
#6: Using Hair Oil
Oiling your hair before Jummah is another Sunnah to beautify yourself for this occasion. Oil and brush your hair so that you look neat and clean.
#7: Going Early To The Mosque
An important Sunnah of Friday prayers is to go to the mosque early, well before the Jummaprayers actually start. While you wait for the prayers to start, indulge yourself in zikr, dua, and the recitation of the Holy Quran.
#8: Going To The Mosque On Foot
If the mosque is at a comfortable walking distance, it is recommended to go on foot. According to a hadith, you get rewarded for every step toward the mosque. However, if the mosque is too far away, using a vehicle is better.
#9: Sitting Close To The Imam
It is recommended to sit as near to the imam as possible (the first row). This allows you to focus on the Khutbah and offer prayers with more concentration.
#10: Not Climbing Shoulders In Rows
Sitting in the first row is great, but you’re not supposed to make other worshippers uncomfortable by climbing over their shoulders. The real reward for sitting in the first row is for those who reach the masjid early.
#11: Attentively Listening To The Friday Sermon
Friday sermon is as important as the prayers. So, listening to it attentively is not only a Sunnah but also a mandatory part of the Jummah Prayers. We’re talking about the Arabic Khutbah here, not the Imam’s lecture in his own language.
#12: Reciting Surah Kahf
Reciting Surah Kahf on Friday is a highly virtuous act with immense reward. According to some narrations, the person who recites Surah Kahf on Friday will be protected from Dajjal.
#13: Reciting Durood Sharif
Frequently reciting Durood Sharif is among the most critical acts of worship on Fridays. Scholars say one should recite Durood Sharif at least 300 times every Friday.
#14: Reciting Surah Dukhan
Reciting Surah Dukhan (Para 25 Surah 44) on Friday is another recommended act of worship with immense virtues and blessings.
#15: Making Dua Between Asar and Maghrib
The time between Asr and Maghrib prayers every Friday is the best time for acceptance of Dua. So, ideally, you should spend this time reciting Durood Sharif, the Holy Quran, and making Dua. However, if not the whole time, then at least make Dua in the last 15 minutes before Maghrib prayers, and ask Allah for all your needs in this world and the hereafter.
Jummah Ki Fazilat Sunnat Ke Rastay Se Hasil Hogi
Agar ap Jumma tul Mubarak ka din Sunnat ke mutabiq guzarengay, gunaho se bachengay, aur naik amaal ki koshish karengay, to inshA allah is din ki tamam barakaat aur rehmatain apko aur apke ghar walo ko hasil hongi.
Allah Taala hum sab ko tofeeq e amal naseeb farmae.
