Are You Allowed To Ejaculate While Fasting In Ramadan?
Whether ejaculation breaks your fast or not depends on how it happened. Here are a few possible scenarios and their ruling by Islamic scholars
1. Ejaculation While Sleeping (Nightfall)
If you ejaculate while sleeping because of nightfall, which is unintentional, your fast does not break and neither is this sinful because you have no control over it.
2. Masturbation
Masturbation is a major sin in Islam and its intensity increases if you commit it while fasting. If you ejaculate by masturbation, your fast becomes invalid and you will have to make up for it after Ramadan by keeping a Qaza fast. However, you don’t have to keep the 60 penalty fasts.
3. Ejaculation While Having Sexual Intercourse
Having sexual intercourse with your wife while fasting is strictly prohibited. If you ejaculate because of sexual intercourse, your fast becomes invalid.
You will have to make up for this fast after Ramadan and also keep 60 consecutive fasts as a penalty.
4. Ejaculation Because Of Intimately Touching Your Wife
If you get intimate with your wife without having intercourse but still ejaculate, your fast breaks immediately.
You will have to make up for it with a Qaza fast but there’s no 60 fast penalty.
5. Ejaculation Because Of Fantasizing
ٰIntentionally fantasizing about sex is a grave sin. However, if it is unintentional there’s no sin in it. Either way, if you ejaculate because of fantasies without touching your penis or doing anything intentional to masturbate, then your fast will not break.
