Ayat e Shifa Verses In Quran With Translation
There are sections from 6 different verses in the Holy Quran in various Surahs (chapters) that are collectively called the Healing verses (or Ayat e Shifa).

Arabic Verses
Here is the Arabic text of the six Ayat e Shifa from the Holy Quran.
“وَیَشْفِ صُدُوْرَ قَوْمٍ مُّؤْمِنِیْنَ”
“قَدْ جَآءَ تْکُمْ مَّوْعِظَةٌ مِّنْ رَّبِّکُمْ وَشِفٍآءٌ لِّمَا فِی الصُّدُوْرِ.”
“یَخْرُجُ مِنْ بُطُوْنِهَا شَرَابٌ مُّخْتَلِفٌ اَلْوَانُهُ فِیْهِ شِفَآءٌ لِّلنَّاسِ.”
“وَنُنَزِّلُ مِنَ الْقُرْاٰنِ مَاهُوَ شِفَآءٌ وَّرَحْمَةٌ لِّلْمُؤْمِنِیْنَ”
“وَاِذَا مَرِضْتُ فَهُوَ یَشْفِیْنِ”
“قُلْ هُوَ لِلَّذِیْنَ اٰمَنُوْا هُدًى وَّشِفَآءٌ”
English Translation
Let’s now understand the English meaning of Ayat e Shifa one by one. When you read these verses with their translation in mind, you’ll feel more convinced about their healing effects.
Translation Ayah 1: And [God] shall heal the breast of the believers. (at-Tawba, 9:14)
Ayah 2: Guidance has come from your Lord and a healing for (the diseases) in your hearts, and for those who believe, a guidance and a mercy. (Yunus, 10:57)
Ayah 3: From their bellies comes out a drink of various colors in which there is cure for people. (Al-Nahl 69)
Ayah 4: And We sent down in the Quran such things that have healing and mercy for the believers (Al-Asra 82)
Ayah 5: And when I am ill, it is [God] who cures me. (Ash-Shu’ara 80)
Ayah 6: And declare (O Muhammad) that [the Quran] is a guidance and healing for the believers. (Al-Fussilat 44)

Tarjuma Ayat 1: Aur Woh Allah Eeman Walo Ke Seeno Ko Shifa Bakhshay Ga
Ayat 2: Aur Jab Main Beemar Ho Jata Hu To Wohi (Allah) Mujhe Shifa Deta Hai

What Are The Benefits Of The Healing Verses
Ayat e Shifa are six different verses of the Holy Quran where Allah Taala has described various healing sources for the mind, soul, and body. They also include the Dua of Prophet Abraham that he made when he was ill.
Collectively, scholars have termed these verses as the Ayat e Shifa or the healing verses and recommend that anyone suffering from a spiritual or physical disease should frequently read these verses.
This doesn’t mean you shouldn’t see a qualified physician. It was the practice of the Holy Prophet and his companions to use medicine prescribed by a qualified medical practitioner when they fell ill. In addition, they used to supplicate to Allah SWT and believed that real healing only comes from Allah.
This is what we should do as well.
See a doctor or physician when you’re sick. In addition, read these verses regularly and seek Allah’s mercy and help for healing quickly. Also, read the Sunnah Dua for health.
How To Read The Healing Verses?
There’s no fixed way to read Ayat e Shifa. However, some scholars suggest the following way.
- Read Durood Sharif once.
- Then recite Auzubillah and Bismillah.
- Then read these 6 verses one by one.
- Do this 7 times.
- Then read Durood Sharif again.
- Now blow air on the patient’s water and meal.
You can also blow this on your home’s main water container so that everyone drinks from it.
Ayat e Shifa Ki Dua Aur Wazifa Parhne Ka Tarika
Ayat e Shifa Quran e Kareem ki woh 6 ayat hain jin main Allah Taala ne shifa ka zikr farmaya hai. In main Hazrat Ibrahim ki Dua bhi shamil hai. Ulama farmatay hain ke beemari main in ayat ko parhna bohat mufeed hota hai.
Ayat e Shifa ka Wazifa parhnay ka koi khaas tarika nahi hai. Lekin baaz Ulama ye tarika tajweez karte hain.
Ye 6 Ayat total 7 martaba parhain, awwal aakhir Durood Sharif parhlain. Uske baad mareez ke pani aur khanay par dam kardain. Isi tarha apne hatho par dam karke puray jism par pher lain aur mareez par bhi dam kar dain.
Insha Allah rozana aisa karne se Allah Taala apne fazl se tamam roohani aur jismani beemariyo se shifa ata farmaengay.
