What Is The Dua For Sleeping Fast

Rasoolullah ﷺ taught us several duas to read before going to sleep. Here’s the first dua in Arabic

اَللّٰهُمَّ بِاسْـمِكَ أَمُوتُ وَأَحْيَا

Transliteration

Allahumma Bismika Amootu Wa Ahya

English

O Allah! I live and die in Your name

“اللّٰهُمَّ غَارَتِ النُّجُومُ، وَهَدَأَتِ الْعُيُونُ، وَأَنْتَ حَيُّ قَيُّومٌ، لَا تَأْخُذُكَ سِنَةٌ وَلَا نَوْمٌ، يَا حَيُّ يَا قَيُّومُ، أَهْدِئْ لِيَلِي، وَأَنِمْ عَيْنِي.”

Transliteration

Allahumma Ghaaratin Nujoom Wa Hadaatil Uyoon, Wa Anta Hayyun Qayyum, La Ta’ Khuzuhu Sinatu Wala Naoom, Ya Hayyu Ya Qayyum, Ahdee Laeeli Wa Anim Aeeni

English

O Allah, stars have set, eyes have rested, You alone are the Ever-Alive, and the Self-Subsisting Source of all beings; neither slumber nor sleep overtakes You. Make my night comforting for me, and bring sleep unto my eyes.

Neend Anay Ki Dua In Urdu

Aay Allah, Sitaray Doob Gae, Logo Ki Aankho Ne Sukoon Pa Lia, Teri Zaat Zinda Aur Qaim Hai, Tujhay Na Neend Ati Hai Na Oongh. Aay Zinda Aur Kainaat Ke Qaim Rakhnay Walay, Is Raat Main Mujhe Sukoon Ata Farma Aur Meri Aankho Ko Sula Day.

بِاسْمِكَ رَبِّي وَضَعْتُ جَنْبِي، وَبِكَ أَرْفَعُهُ، فَإِنْ أَمْسَكْتَ نَفْسِي فَارْحَمْهَا، وَإِنْ أَرْسَلْتَهَا فَاحْفَظْهَا، بِمَا تَحْفَظُ بِهِ عِبَادَكَ الصَّالِحِينَ.

Transliteration

Bismika Rabbi Wazatu Jambi Wa Bika Arfa’uhu, Fa In Amsakta Nafsi Farhamha Wa In Arsaltaha Fah’fazha, Bima Tahfazu Bihi Ibadakas Sawliheen

O my Lord! In Your Name I put my side over this bed and with Your Name I will lift it up therefrom. If You take my soul, bestow mercy on it, and if You release it, protect it as You protect Your righteous slaves.

Pursukoon Neend Ke Liye Dua

Aay mere Rab, Apke Naam se mene apna pehlu rakha hai aur ap hi ke naam se uthaoonga. Agar apne meri jaan ko lelia (yani ruh qabz karli) to us par rehm farmana, aur agar chor dia (yani zindagi baqi rakhi) to uski is tarha hifazat karna jis tarha apne naik bando ki karta hai

Things To Do To Cure Sleeping Difficulty

Here are the things you should do, apart from the Sunnahs and duas we’ve mentioned, to ease your sleeping problems.

  1. If you want peaceful sleep, you need to start your day early. It might be difficult on the first day because you’ll need to start a new sleep cycle. But go through it and sleep early that night. Then wake up early again to fix your sleep cycle.
  2. Do not sleep more than 7 hours in 24 hours.
  3. Do not use your smartphone at least 2 hours before sleep. Remember, screen exposure robs your mind of sleep and peace.
  4. Adopt a physically active lifestyle so that you’re tired by the time you reach your bed.
  5. Do not watch the news or indulge in any activity that disturbs your peace of mind before sleep.
  6. Consult a specialist sleep therapist.
