The Holy Quran is the final word of Allah SWT revealed to His Final Prophet, Muhammadﷺ. It is the final message from Allah SWT to mankind and contains everything we need to know to be successful in this world and the hereafter.
Reciting the Holy Quran has numerous spiritual benefits. In one hadith, the Holy Prophet ﷺ said that there’s a reward for reciting every letter of the Quran (even when you don’t understand its meaning).
Translation: Ibn Mas‘ūd (may Allah be pleased with him) reported that the Messenger of Allah (may Allah’s peace and blessings be upon him) said: “Whoever recites a letter from the Book of Allah will be credited with a good deed, and the good deed receives a ten-fold reward. I am not saying that “ألم” Alif-Lām-Mīm is one letter, but Alif is a letter, Lām is a letter and Mīm is a letter.”
This is why every Muslim should recite at least some part of the Holy Quran every day.

Makki surahs tend to focus on the basic teachings of Islam, such as the oneness of God, the prophethood of Muhammadﷺ, and the Day of Judgment. Madani surahs, on the other hand, tend to focus on the social and political aspects of Islam, such as the rules of marriage, divorce, and inheritance.
The distinction between Makki and Madani surahs is important because it can help Muslims to understand the development of Islamic thought and to appreciate the different contexts in which the Quran was revealed.
