Debt or qarz can be a huge burden on a person’s mind and heart. This is why Rasoolullah ﷺ has advised Muslims to avoid debt as much as possible.
However, if you took some debt to invest in your business, for an emergency, or any other genuine reason but now find it hard to repay it, we’ll teach you a dua from hadith that will ease your burden and help you with debt repayment insha Allah.
Alhamdulillah, I’ve personally experienced the miracle of this dua. My family had a debt of more than Rs. 3 million a few years ago, and it seemed impossible to repay it because of our very limited income sources.
However, me and my father started reciting this Dua regularly and also made sincere efforts to arrange money for debt repayment. Alhamdulillah, we were able to get rid of our debt in just 2 years.

Dua For Debt Relief | Qarz Ki Dua In Arabic, English, Urdu, & Hindi (PDF)
The first dua for relief in debts is narrated by Hazrat Ali رضي الله عنه.
Here’s the Arabic text of this Dua.
اللّهُـمَّ اكْفِـني بِحَلالِـكَ عَنْ حَـرامِـك، وَأَغْنِـني بِفَضْـلِكَ عَمَّـنْ سِـواك
Transliteration
Allahummak Fini Bi Halaalika An Haraamika Wa Aghnini Bi Fazlika Amman Siwaak
English Translation
O Allah, suffice me with what You have allowed instead of what You have forbidden, and make me independent of all others besides You.
Urdu/Hindi Tarjuma
Qarz ki adaigi ki dua ka Urdu/Hindi tarjuma ye hai.
Aay Allah Meri Zarurato Ke Liye Halal Ko Kafi Kar Day Aur Mujhe Haram Se Bacha Aur Apne Fazal Se Mujhay Apne Siwa Har Kisi Se Mustaghni (Azad) Kar Day
Qarz Ki Dua Hadees:
Hazrat Ali (May Allah be pleased with him) reported:
A slave who had made a contract with his master to pay for his freedom, came to me and said: “I am unable to fulfill my obligation, so help me.”
He said to him: “Shall I not teach you a supplication which the Messenger of Allah (ﷺ) taught me? It will surely prove so effective that if you have a debt as large as a huge mountain, Allah will surely pay it for you.
Say: ‘Allahumm-akfini bihalalika ‘an haramika, wa aghnini bifadlika ‘amman siwaka (O Allah! Grant me enough of what You make lawful so that I may dispense with what You make unlawful, and enable me by Your Grace to dispense with all but You).” (Source)
Qarz Utarne Aur Us Se Bachne Ki Dua
Qarz utarne ki ek aur Dua bhi hadees sharif main ati hai. Ye Dua rozana parhnay se insha Allah insan kabhi maqrooz nahi hoga aur agar ho gya to insha Allah qarz jald ata ho jaega.
اللَّهُمَّ إِنِّي أَعُوذُ بِكَ مِنَ الْهَمِّ وَالْحَزَنِ وَأَعُوذُ بِكَ مِنَ الْعَجْزِ وَالْكَسَلِ وَأَعُوذُ بِكَ مِنَ الْجُبْنِ وَالْبُخْلِ وَأَعُوذُ بِكَ مِنْ غَلَبَةِ الدَّيْنِ وَقَهْرِ الرِّجَالِ
Transliteration
Allahumma Inni A’oozuboka Minal Hammi Wal Hazani Wa A’oozubika Minal Ajzi Wal Kasali Wa A’oozubika Minal Jubni Wal Bukhli Wa A’oozubika Min Ghalabatit Daeeni Wa Qahrir Rijaal
English Translation
O Allah, I seek Your refuge from sadness and grief, I seek Your refuge from incapacity and laziness, I seek Your refuge from cowardice and miserliness, and I seek Your refuge from being overcome by debt and being put in subjection by men.

“Aay Allah Main Apki Panah Mangta Hu Gham Se Aur Hamm (Insan Ko Ghol Denay Wali Fikr), Aur Main Apki Panah Mangta Hu Muhtaji Se Aur Susti Se, Aur Main Apki Panah Mangta Hu Buzdili Se Aur Kanjoosi Se, Aur Main Apki Panah Mangta Hu Qarz Ki Ziadti Se Aur Logo Ka Mujh Par Ghalba Paa Janay Se”
Debt Dua Hadith:
Narrated AbuSa’id al-Khudri:
One day the Messenger of Allah (ﷺ) entered the mosque. He saw there a man from the Ansar called AbuUmamah.
He said: What is the matter that I am seeing you sitting in the mosque when there is no time of prayer?
He said: I am entangled in cares and debts, Messenger of Allah.
He replied: Shall I not teach you words by which, when you say them, Allah will remove your care, and settle your debt?
He said: Why not, Messenger of Allah?
He said: Say in the morning and evening: “O Allah, I seek refuge in Thee from care and grief, I seek refuge in Thee from incapacity and slackness, I seek refuge in Thee from cowardice and niggardliness, and I seek in Thee from being overcome by debt and being put in subjection by men.”
He said: When I did that Allah removed my care and settled my debt. (Source)
When To Read Dua To Get Rid Of Debt | Qarz Adaigi Ki Dua Kab Parhain?
Qarz ki dua chaltay phirtay uthtay bethay parhni chahye. Lekin Khaas tor par in moqo par zarur parhna chahye.

- At the time of Tahajjud Namaz
- Qubuliyat ke auqat main maslan Azan ki dua ke baad, Iqamat aur jamat ke darmiyan, Wuzu ke baad.
Is dua ko jitna yaqeen se parhengay insha Allah utna faida hoga. Bas Dua parhain aur Allah ka naam le kar Qarz ki adaigi ke liye sachhay dil se koshish karain. Insha Allah agar pahaar jesa qarza bhi hua to Allah Taala jald ada kara dengay.
